About this Giving Opportunity
Army Emergency Relief was founded in 1942 by the Secretary of War and Army Chief of Staff, and was charged with helping relieve undue financial stress on the force. AER, the official nonprofit of the U.S. Army, assists over 32,000 Soldiers and Army Families every year through zero-interest loans, grants and scholarships. Programs are funded by the generosity of donors and AER does not receive federal funding.
